How to Stuff Your Pouf
Unstuffed Moroccan poufs can be filled with various materials depending on the desired finish. Whether you prefer a soft, beanbag-style pouf or a firmer, heavier one, here are some tips on how to stuff your Moroccan pouf.
For a soft and light pouf, polystyrene balls (60L per pouf), foam chips, old plastic bags, or scrunched-up newspapers work well. If using polystyrene beads, it's recommended to use a liner, such as an old pillowcase, and fill the pouf in the bath or outside, as the beads can easily escape.
For a firmer, heavier pouf, try using cotton, felt, wool fabrics, or even old towels and sheets.
How to Stuff Your Moroccan Pouf:
-
Ensure that the material you're using is clean and dry.
-
Locate the zipper on the bottom of the pouf, unzip it, and open the pouf to its full shape.
-
Begin by gradually filling the sides at the top of your pouf to ensure that all the nooks and crannies are fully stuffed. This will prevent dimples and bumps in the finished pouf.
-
Stuff the pouf evenly, adding a layer of filling and pushing it down firmly. Ensure that the sides and seams are fully filled out before adding another layer.
-
Continue until the pouf is full.
Over time, the pouf will bed down, and you can add more filling as needed to maintain its shape.
